MasterBar 0.7 by SYIRD
======================
A loudness meter, spectrum and oscilloscope in a bar above Ableton Live.
Requires macOS 14.2 or later.

NEW INSTALL
-----------
1. Drag MasterBar.app into your Applications folder.
2. Right-click MasterBar.app, choose Open, then click Open again.
(First time only. macOS blocks apps from outside the App Store.)
3. Start Live. Allow audio recording and Accessibility when asked.
4. Quit and reopen Live once, so your locators show in the timeline.

UPDATING FROM AN OLDER VERSION
------------------------------
1. Quit MasterBar: click the waveform icon in the menu bar, then Quit.
2. Drag the new MasterBar.app into Applications and choose Replace.
3. Open it with right-click > Open, as above.

From 0.7 on, MasterBar updates itself. This is the last manual install.

IF SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK
-------------------------
- "App is damaged": run this in Terminal, then open it again:
      xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/MasterBar.app
- Flat line, or Live not fitting below the bar: open System Settings >
Privacy & Security. Under Screen & System Audio Recording and under
Accessibility, remove MasterBar with the minus button, reopen
  MasterBar and allow again.

Without Live running, open MasterBar from Applications: it opens as a
window of its own and measures all sound on your Mac.

Right-click the bar for all settings. There you can also detach the bar
from Live (move it to any screen, make it any size, or full screen), and
have it listen to all sound on your Mac instead of Live alone.
